It is available in the same beautiful array of sophisticated and elegant colors as marble which makes it ideal for bathroom vanities, walls and floors, foyer floors and fireplaces. Toscana Stone comes from Italy, mainly from the region of Tuscany. It has been widely used in Italy and throughout Europe and the Middle East since the 1980's. In the last several years, there has been a tremendous demand for Toscana Stone in the American market. Toscana Stone is made by bonding natural marble pieces or quartz pieces with resin to produce a finish that is uniform and can be textured, honed, or polished. Toscana Stone comes in sixty-one colors and can be mixed and matched with other colors, textures and materials, ensuring its appeal commercial and residential use. Toscana Stone can be cut by the factory into slabs that are ¾" thick for slabs and ½" thick for tiles that are 12" x 12", 16" x 16" and 24" x 24". Many of the lines have been made to preserve and honor the environment and to ensure sustainability of the mountains or quarries from which the stone comes. The marble lines, for example, have been made from recycled marble chips.
